Dear Sisters, Brothers and Visitors,

To serve as Worthy Grand Matron is quite an honor and I am pleased to be sharing this year with Brother Clarence J. Echternacht and all the members of the Order of the Eastern Star in PA.  2008-2009 will be a busy year for the Grand Officers as we travel throughout our Commonwealth greeting and meeting our Sisters and Brothers and participating in the many activities that our Appointed Grand Chapter Committee Members will have planned for us.

We invite you to attend our “All in the Family” Fraternal Gatherings that are scheduled for six different locations throughout PA.  The members of all Masonic Bodies, our families and friends and our community leaders will share in ecumenical worship, lunch and fellowship. These Gathering will be a highlight of our year!

We invite you to attend our Caring & Sharing and Homes Luncheon/Bazaars; you will enjoy the bargain, craft and baked goods tables and might possibly take home a basket filled with wonderful surprises.

We invite you to save foreign and domestic postage stamps, empty ink and toner cartridges and old cell phones to help us raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and for the Ronald McDonald Houses.

We  invite you to send a monetary donation to our Grand Chapter to help us fight MS, to help us buy canteen booklets for the residents of our Veterans’ facilities, to purchase items that are on the Ronald McDonald Houses wish list or to support the Rett Foundation in their attempt to solve the mysteries of pediatric neurological brain disorders.

We invite you to attend our Grand Session in June of 2009 in York, PA.  There are educational programs and fun banquets with good food and great entertainment that surround our business meetings.

As was mentioned previously, we are busy in PA!  Read the information that our Committee Chairs have prepared for this web site to find out how you can help and be busy too!

“We are called upon to be loyal to ourselves and to the best there is in us.”  With this motto in mind, we must be true to ourselves, strive to discover our uniqueness and then blend our unique qualities with and enhance the unique qualities of others.  Uniqueness is not just characteristic of snowflakes, but of each and every one of us!

Fraternally.
Mary Ann
