2007 Worthy Grand Matron

Barbara M. Thompson

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

As we embark upon a new year, Brother Darrel and I are honored yet  humbled to be serving as Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron of the Grand Chapter of Pennsylvania.  We are fully aware of the expectations placed upon us and will serve in the best interest of the members and for the good of our Order.  Our Installation will forever be a beautiful memory, but we now turn our focus to the year ahead.

We are looking forward to a positive transition in changing the structure and numbering of the geographical areas in our state.  Pennsylvania is now comprised of Regions instead of Districts, and a Deputy Grand Matron is assigned to each sub region.  Regional Schools of Instruction will be held during the summer months under the direction of Past Grand Matrons and Past Grand Patrons in conjunction with the Deputy Grand Matrons.

It is our purpose to be beneficent and aid those in need, and the Special Committee appointments have prepared well to make this a most successful year.  As we work together for the common good of ourselves and others through their charitable projects, may the Light of our Star shine brightly.

Brother Darrel and I are eager to share our love and friendship with the members of Pennsylvania and neighboring jurisdictions this year and will be looking for you as we travel.  May your greatest treasures always be sufficient wealth, abundant health, and God’s abiding Love.

In Treasured Friendship ,

Barbara M. Thompson
