The Bible Used Was The One Upon Which Our First President, George Washington, Took His Masonic Obligation. Also, The Gavel Used During Initiation Was The One Used By George Washington At The Laying Of The Cornerstone Of The U.S. Capitol, November 1793. Whenever These Sacred And Priceless Relics Are Removed From The Lodge Room, They Are Always Accompanied By A Special Committee Of Master Masons, And It Is Only On Very Rare Occasions That These Emblems Are Permitted To Be Taken Out.
