The Grand Officers of 1999-2000 and Members participated in the All Masonic Parade at Kennywood Park, Pittsburgh and a Parade in White Oak. This was a first for the Order of the Eastern Star.

Spring-Ford Chapter #518, District 25A entertained the Grand Officers at a Synagogue Service and Dinner.

The Eastern, Central and Western Caring and Sharing Committee earned $91,546.40 at their Luncheons and Bazaars and the Label Project earned over $60.000 for the Fraternal Committee.

The Shriners’ Hospital Committee earned $35,000.00 by selling pins designed by the Most Worthy Grand Patron. The money was divided between the Erie and Philadelphia Shrine Hospitals.

Miles of Smiles for MS earned $14,230.01 by selling Smiley Faced Pins and a total of $103,000.00 was given to the Multiple Sclerocis Chapters across the State. This money was presented to MS during the Opening Session at Grand Chapter and it was shown on TV.

The Worthy Grand Matron’s theme for the year was “KEEP YOUR LIGHT BRIGHT FOR OES” and the aim was to “Light a Candle of Friendship, never let it’s flame burn low. For all of OES can be lighted by one candle’s friendly glow.”

The Worthy Grand Patron used the “Covered Bridge” as his emblem. It was a Treasured Gathering Place—Spanning a Century.
